Today in school our teacher told us about Blends and Digraphs. When I reached home I told my mother about it. She told me to continue learning and involved my father and friends too. We all enjoyed playing and learning with Musky. It’s my best buddy!

The resulting sound is a blend of the two or more consonant sounds. For example, the word “blender” contains the blend “bl,” which is made up of the consonant sounds /b/ and /l/. Other examples of blends include “fl,” “gr,” and “st.” Blends are commonly found at the beginning or end of words, and are an important part of learning to read and write.

Digraphs are a type of phonics skill that involves two letters that represent a single sound. The letters in a digraph work together to produce a unique sound that is different from the sounds produced by each individual letter. Examples of common digraphs in English include “ch,” “sh,” “th,” “ph,” “wh,” and “ck.”
