Thank you Doctor!

Doctors are special people who help keep us healthy and take care of us when we are sick. When we go to see a doctor, they ask questions about how we are feeling and examine us to figure out what is wrong. They might use special tools, like stethoscopes, to listen to the heart and lungs, or take temperature to see if we have a fever. If you need medicine or special treatment, they will give you that too.

Teaching about doctors to kids can be a fun and informative experience. The Doctor thematic mat takes a fresh approach to make kids learn who doctors are, what they do, why and when we go to see the doctors, and more. You can play with this Musky mat with your family and friends.

You can discuss different types of doctors and what they do. While playing with Musky using the Doctor‘s thematic mat, you can teach kids the importance of hand-wash and staying hygienic to prevent getting sick. It will be a fun learning activity!

Teachers Note

While using the Doctor’s mat, teachers can recall the concept of community helpers, who are community helpers and what they do. Then explain to them the role of doctors and tell them when we should go to the doctor.

You can also explain them that if you see an ambulance rushing towards the hospital, we all need to give it the way as someone might need the doctor’s treatment immediately. Depending upon the age group, the teacher can ask questions to children and can give commands to Musky accordingly. If possible children can be asked to dress up like a doctor and a small role play to make it more fun and engaging.
