India Map Mat
Know Your Country!
As we sat enjoying our evening snacks, my father suddenly exclaimed, “Let’s go on a vacation!” My mother agreed, saying that it had been quite a while since we had taken a family trip. Excitedly, I asked where we were going to go, but I couldn’t recall the names of any of the places we had previously visited. My parents suggested the beach, but I preferred the mountains.
That’s when my mother came up with an excellent idea- let Musky decide where we should go! I immediately ran to my room and got my Musky kit. My parents spread out the ‘India Map’ themed mat, and we began playing with Musky. My parents guided me as I made Musky move from one city to another, and they told me about the different places and activities we could do.
After exploring different destinations, we finally decided on Mussoorie. We were all thrilled, and my mind was racing with ideas of all the fun things we could do there. I was grateful to Musky for helping us choose our vacation spot and teaching me so much about various cities, states, capitals, rivers, beaches, islands, and more.

This is an interesting way to teach children about India. Simple as it appears, what we need to do is just simply play the game. It will be a fun game to play in a team. This will generate cooperation and make children learn the importance of teamwork. Let children sit in a group and turn by turn roll the dice and code Musky to follow the instruction given according to the number on the dice. Teachers can easily teach about different states, capitals and cities. It’s a simple and engaging activity to learn about the country. Students will come to know about National Symbols, Islands, Union Territories and more about the country.
